Review Black Mirror

I'm back with #REVIEWDET!!!

Have you ever heard about Black Mirror? It's on Netflix since 2011, but they skipped a year. Up until now, there are three seasons. Oh, and this is an anthology, so the episode doesn't connect with each other and that means you can choose which story you want. You might want to search 'black mirror *insert episode* explained'. I do that most of the time, lol.

Each season has different number of episode. Season 1 has three episodes, season 2 has four including Special White Christmas, and season 3 has six. I'm kinda ashamed to say this, but I watched the whole season 1 and 2 with Indonesian subtitle because I thought this would be like Sherlock, which I wouldn't understand anything if I watched it with English subtitle. Too bad Indonesian subtitle for season 3 is only available for episode 1, 2, 3, and 6.

Season 1 kicks off with a story about the prime minister of England who was forced to do sexual intercourse with a pig (EAKHHH, seriously, this is really disgusting) to get a kidnapped princess back. Definitely a good way to start the show. The second episode talks about dystopian future, everyone has to cycle on a bike to gain money. Fat people get shamed and is considered a low-class citizen. The last episode of the season takes place in an alternative reality where most people have a grain placed behind their ear. It records everything we see and hear and can be rewinded. I like episode three the most, because it implies that with technology, we often overanalyze everything. Yes, sometimes it is good, but it can also make you crazy.

Season 2 started on 2013, skipped a year from season 1. In my opinion, this season has darker stories than season 1. My favorite is White Bear, where a child kidnapper and murderer was punished by doing the same to her, but with her memory wiped. Everyday. All you have is an unclear memory about the things you've done. Can you imagine how you don't remember anything yet people do horrible things to you?

Season 3, I'm not finished yet, still on episode 4. 'Playtest' episode is the scariest so far. AND EPISODE 4, beware, if you don't like LGBT scenes, don't watch this. But, to be honest, this is the one that made me cry. Going to update it when I'm finished!

All the episodes made me say "WOW" a hundred times. Really like the twist.

Rate: 9/10 (Sorry, 10/10 is only for Game of Thrones! ;) )

Journalight? Vice Indonesia?

Wolter Monginsidi.
"Gilak, pewe abis."
Cuma emang agak nggak keliatan sih tempatnya, jadi harus liat plang tulisan Brilio.net, kebetulan VICE sama Brilio.net emang satu gedung gitu tapi beda lantai. Kalo gue kerja disitu kayaknya gue bakalan disitu terus deh :(

All in all, gue senang sih ikut kunjungannya :)) meskipun sekarang pundak kiri gue ngga bisa gerak (cuma bisa ngetik)

P.s. maaf ya untuk salah satu kakak Journalight aku baru pertama kali jadi dokum acara jadi mohon maaf komposisi fotonya kurang bagus huhu I will do better next time :(

Review 13 Reasons Why?

Oh, hi. I haven't written ANYTHING since I last posted here. I can't breathe and I'm not in the mood to write, whether it's for Seword or just stuffs.

Mmm... so, people are talking about this TV show titled '13 Reasons Why', it's based on a book by Jay Asher. Might read it later, after I finished watching it.

So, this is another post from #REVIEWDET. Sorry, I'm just too lazy.

This show started with a girl who killed herself, named Hannah Baker. After her death, she sent some cassettes (I forgot how many) to people she thinks is the reason why she ended her life. Each side is talking about one person and is talked within an episode. It's only 13 episodes, and each episode is 55 minutes long.

I heard Netflix is putting a trigger warning on some episodes, but I saw none. Just search on Google, which episode has those scenes.

Anyway, I can relate to some of the scenes (I am not talking about the suicide). For example, the scene when her bestfriends stopped being her bestfriends and they started dating without telling her anything... damn, it hurts for sure. Nope I never experienced that but I got emo over it.

Pretty sure 13 Reasons Why is targeted at young-adults and adults under 25 (I guess?). The scenes mainly took spot in high school, the conflicts were about high school thing, and so on. Worth to watch, though.

P.s. This show contains rape and self-harm scenes.

Tuhan, Aku Lelah.

“Tuhan...” makhluk kecil itu berbisik.

“Tuhan...” sekali lagi ia berbisik.

“Aku lelah, Tuhan...” sempurna sudah keluhannya.

“Sayapku patah, Tuhan.

Semua kembali gelap seperti sediakala.

Ah, apalah arti doa si kecil.
